Christmas Celebration 2010

Augie & Ray’s Restaurant East Hartford, CT     hosted The Birthday Club and Santa Claus on Saturday, December 2010 to introduce The Birthday Club (TBC) and collect food for the local food pantries. While Santa greeted children, members of the St. Christopher School Band played Christmas carols while patrons ate lunch and learned how they could host a TBC party thoughout the year.

The Hutt Family, owners of Augie and Ray’s, offered a free hamburger or hot dog to any child who brought in a non-perishable grocery item for the food pantry collection. Through food and monetary donated gifts, 38 bags of food were collected and donated to five East Hartford food pantries and the Friendship Soup Kitchen.
